Warri Wolves chairman, Moses Etu has made case for the inclusion of former junior international, Dele Ajiboye into the Super Eagles after the goalkeeper’s sterling performance in the NPFL for the Seasiders from the pre- season till now.
Etu disclosed that Ajiboye’s sharp reflexes and impeccable saves have been the saving grace of Warri Wolves in the league and on the continent and that he sees no reason the goalkeeper won’t be called up to the Eagles team.
He said Ajiboye can compete with Carl Ikeme and Daniel Akpeyi without any stress and that it would save cost to appreciate one of the products of the NPFL that has been performing at a high level.
“Ajiboye deserves Super Eagles’ call up. He has been very outstanding for us and he is the current best keeper in the league. He should be given a serious consideration. We need to appreciate our own better. He can compete favourably with Ikeme and Akpeyi. He deserves our attention,” Etu told SportingLife.
Ajiboye was fantastic for Warri Wolves during the Super Four in Kaduna and Uyo and his impressive saves have kept Seasiders’ goals conceded away from home low since the commencement of the league season.
