Several persons wounded as rival groups clash in Delta community

There is increased tension in Ugboegungun Community near Ugborodo in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State as alleged factional groups exchange gunfire over leadership positions in the Community.

DAILY POST reports that the violent incident which started on Wednesday night has seen over ten people wounded

It would be recalled that there was a similar bloody power tussle in the Community a year ago between the same factions, leading to the self–exile of members of one faction in the interest of peace.

DAILY POST, however, gathered that trouble began again when some members of the group in exile returned but was denied access into the community, a fight had allegedly ensued leading to several injuries.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke who has also confirmed the incident says his men have been dispatched to the scene.
