Re: Peter Nwaoboshi – Unlawful enrichment and FG’s forfeiture quest (Opinion)

Editor’s note: Owelle Awele Onokwai Snr, a public affairs analyst writes on ordered forfeiture of property by Senator Peter Nwaoboshi to the federal government of Nigeria.

Onokwai said Senator Peter Nwaoboshi in his capacity at the Senate has facilitated more than 120 standard roads littered across the length and breadth of Anioma land and this was the single reason his beloved constituents fondly called him the “Project Senator”.

One satisfying thing about the above captioned subject is the DISCLAIMER by LEGIT that it never emanated from their stable and because of this, we know the originating source and purpose of the article which is to scandalize Senator Peter Nwaoboshi by the desperate camp of Ned Nwoko in a futile attempt to sway the ruling of the Supreme Court.

Ned Nwoko and his desperate camp in an attempt to sway the minds of the revered justices of the Supreme Court have been churning out malicious and scandalous articles, inducing security and investigative federal agencies as well as resurrecting old cases and initiating new and malicious ones, still in an attempt to obtain favor from the Court of Justice but one thing they have failed to understand is that ten million allegations does not amount to a single conviction even though the author of the piece turned himself into a law court.

To the crux of the matter

Every zonal intervention programmes are not determined by the awarding agencies but by the elected representative of the particular people who understands the yearnings and desires of his people.

The rights to determine what constitutes zonal intervention programmes are defined by the elected Representative of the constituents and it becomes ridiculous for anyone to even suggest that refrigerators were disbursed in the stead of motorcycles.

It is instructive to note that the refrigerators distributed by Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi during electioneering campaign were in his personal capacity and these items were given to party faithful.

What is N50m for 120 motorcycles when in his private capacity, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi distributed more than 1000 motorcycles, 10 Palm Oil Milling Machines, 300 Sewing Machine, 500 adjustable wheelchairs, 20 Keke Napep, more than 400 power generating sets, N50,000 cash gift to more than 300 traders from Delta north senatorial district and a Francis Nwaoboshi Foundation which supports law students from Anioma nation with more than 300 beneficiaries and counting. Pictures will be attached to buttress these facts.

Furthermore, on the N222,222,000 budgeted for electrical transformers, due to scarcity of funds, the ministry in-charge has only awarded 40% of the sum total to the contractors nominated and approved by the awarding Ministry.

We refer the author of the article to proceed to the concerned Ministry for more inquiries with the instrument of Freedom of Information.

We make bold to state that the sponsors of the calumnious article are fully aware of their imminent defeat at the Supreme Court and after this political uppercut, they will certainly head to political oblivion.

It is on record that Senator Peter Nwaoboshi is greatly loved and cherished by his constituents and we are also aware that the author of that piece cannot make his claims on the streets of Anioma land.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi in his capacity at the Senate has facilitated more than 120 standard roads littered across the length and breadth of Anioma land and this was the single reason his beloved constituents fondly called him the “Project Senator”.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi in his capacity has attracted Skill Acquisition Center in each of the three federal constituencies of Anioma land. Senator Peter Nwaoboshi facilitated the inclusion of Anioma sons and daughters into the Presidential Amnesty Program – the first of its kind in the political history of the region.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi is on the verge of bringing a Federal Polytechnic in Kwale, Ndokwa west LGA of Delta state – the first federal tertiary institution in Ndokwa land.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has a Bill from his stable passed into law even as a lawmaker from the opposition party – an achievement beyond the reach of Ned Nwoko, despite being a member of the ruling and majority party in the House of Reps back in 1999.

We urge the general public to be vigilant as these distractions from the camp of the desperate Ned Nwoko and his bandwagon of touts will fizzle out upon his humiliation at the Supreme Court.

Finally, we urge supporters and fans of distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi to remain resolute and calm with the knowledge that like a pack of cards, these distractions from the desperate Ned Nwoko will also fall abysmally.
