WARRI – Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the Delta State governor, has congratulated Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy Senate President, who turned 57 on Sunday May 12, 2019.
Okowa, in a congratulatory message issued by Mr. Charles Aniagwu, his Chief Press Secretary, in Asaba, extolled Ekweremadu leadership qualities and astute contributions towards Nigeria’s democracy, saying, “Ekweremadu has carved a niche for himself and deserves an enviable place in history for his immeasurable contributions to the Senate over the years.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I wish to congratulate my brother and dear friend, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, a party stalwart and leader of inestimable value, Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu, CFR, on the occasion of his 57th birthday anniversary celebration.
“Your Excellency, the invaluable contributions you have made to national development is worthy of note in the minds of Nigerians. You have remained committed, diligent, focused and dedicated to the service of mankind”, the statement added.
Okowa noted that Ekweremadu, Ike Oha Ndigbo, had been a gentleman par excellence, a team player and above all, a God-fearing Nigerian.
He expressed appreciation to Ekweremadu for being an amiable and able leader in the Senate, and on behalf of himself, his family, the government and people of Delta State, prayed that God to guide, protect and grant him more fruitful years of contribution to nation building.
