Okobiah Emerges Vice-Chairman, Nigerian Baptist Convention

Prof (Mrs) Otete Okobiah, Vice-Chancellor, Western Delta University (WDU), Oghara, Delta State has been inaugurated by the Nigerian Baptist Convention has its 3rd Vice-Chairman.

In a reaction to the development, the Executive Director, Nigerian Baptist Women’s Missionary Union of Nigeria (BWMU), Rev Dr. (Mrs) Rachel A. Lateju expressed appreciation to God and tasked Okobiah to use her university position to further God’s missionary and the Baptist Church.

On her part, Okobia thanked the Baptist Church for the recognition given to her and promised that “in all things, God’s work must truly be ours”.

Prof Okobiah has been a serving Deaconess at Calvary Baptist Church, Abraka and represented the Ethiope Delta Baptist Conference at the Convention.

The five-day Convention which held at the Belulah Baptist Centre, Ogbomosho, Oyo state, ended on Tuesday.
