A FORMER governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, and an ex-Deputy governor of the state, Prof Amos Utuama would be among the guests attending a thanksgiving service in recognition of the humanitarian services of a former governor of the state, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
A statement by Mr. Japhet Omene, said the event being convened by the Omene family of Mosogar in Ethiope West Local Government Area in the state, is purposely to thank Uduaghan for adopting him in so many years ago and for sponsoring his education.
The event is scheduled to hold on August 19, 2018, in Mosogar, Delta State.
The statement reads: “August 19, 2009, was a day Mr. Japhet Omene will never forget in his life. It was a day his fortune turned around for good. He came in contact with the Immediate past governor of Delta State Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who adopted him as his son. Japhet, who could not further his education at that time, was sponsored in secondary school and university by Uduaghan. Unlike others, who only make political statements, Uduaghan is a different man. He kept his promise. This is an opportunity to say thank you to a father, who God is using to change lives.’’
