While it appears there are a million and one things going wrong in Nigeria, it turns out there are non-citizens who still have strong love for the country, one of them being South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest.
He recently took to social media to express his love for Nigeria, wishing he was from the county. Giving his reasons, he stated that Nigeria promotes and celebrates her culture and the entertainment industry is united.
He wrote: “Won’t even lie. I wish I was from Nigeria too. The love they have for their own artists, the way they celebrate their culture, 90% local content on radio and TV, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within their industry. A Dream!”
While many Nigerians celebrated him for showing such love for Nigeria, many South African social media users were displeased by his unpatriotic tweet against his own country.
